5 Random and Quirky Things No One Knows About Me

Corrina tagged me with two memes (Meme One and Meme Two) which I combined into this one post. I’m running out of random and quirky, but I have a case of it on back order and this is what I have left:

  1. I used to suck my thumb and I don’t mean when I was a baby, like in my 30’s. I’m a big girl now. I’ve moved on.
  2. Milk, sugar, then coffee. Yes it matters. I think I can tell if you change the order and I might not drink it. It just looks weird and tastes different. I’m crazy, it’s been established.
  3. I will not use a pen if it writes blue. I always ask first and usually carry my own pen(s) just in case. I have a streak going and don’t want to break it. Dumb streak. What’s yours?
  4. I can’t do 2nd grade math. I feel really stupid when I have to log on to math.com. I over think life, not math problems. I either add or subtract money from my account, no algebra needed. I keep it simple.
  5. Once while shaving, I got a little over zealous and shaved my forearms. I ended up liking it and now I do it on a regular. Don’t knock it, try it.

I think this meme combines the last two memes I was tagged with, 8 Random Things…. and 6 Things No One Knows…See, I did the math equation below:

(8) 6 = 14-4/2 = 5 Random and Quirky Things No One Knows About Me. Okay so I made up my own equation.

PS – To me, a bagel and cream cheese really means a block of cream cheese and a little bit of bagel. I like to see my teeth marks in my cream cheese. If you have random and quirky, you know what to do.

Oh when I started blogging and someone said they “tagged” me, I didn’t know what the heck that meant. I thought it was something painful they did to mammals in the wild.

Something to think about over the weekend: If you only do half of a meme is it called a me?

    Hi Natural,

Only you could come up with “If you only do half of a meme is it called a me?” That’s good.

Have you thought about becoming a comedian? Or are you a stand up comic on your second job and you’re not telling us?

Thank you for the laughs. :)

And a great weekend to you….

I liked the no use of blue pens. That’s a great streak. My cousin had a streak of finishing EVERY pen he bought. Once finished, he saves them in a shoebox or something. As a kid I thought he was weird, but I totally get it! It’s a… thing.

My streak is: finishing chapstick. I used to buy.. then lose, then buy again over and over until I finally buckled down and made it a goal to finish one.

So far, I’ve had the same chapstick for the last 8 months. Woot! I keep with me at. all. times.

Barbara, I was just thinking who does a half a meme but me, that’s lazy. lol. Comedian? If people had to pay to hear me make jokes, most would say I was funnier when I was free, so no stand up here…thought about it, yes. No control over “it”, just kind of comes out, it’s fun to laugh.

Jillian, what’s wrong with me? I don’t know when it started, but I haven’t written with a blue pen in over 15 years? I have a fav pen I rarely write with, almost cried when I lost it. Chapstick? I never finish those, I lose them first. How many have you finished.

Who has finished dental floss? Not me and had the nerve to buy another one cause I thought I did.

Alright Sandy, I’ll be looking for your Meme One Meme Two. Enjoy the book!

“Milk, sugar, then coffee. . . I can tell if the order is reversed”. That’s too funny (maybe you have a mild case of obsessive compulsive disorder :-) ).My streak is, I won’t buy a new perfume until I’ve finished the last drop in the bottle I currently have. You know how a lot of women have a tray on their bathroom counter filled with perfumes? Not me. Just one. And if someone gives me a different perfume as a gift for my b-day or other occassion, I give it away or throw it out. OK, now I’m thinking that’s really weird.

    “Milk, sugar, then coffee.”

Seriously? That’s interesting. I put sugar in the mug, then pour the coffee, then add the milk.

But I never thought about it until now and certainly when I forget and add the sugar last, I can’t tell the difference.

You have an interesting personality, for sure. :)

Yeah, I have a thing about pens also. Pilot Gel Ink #10 Black. I hate anything else.

And why ruin coffee with that other stuff? If it isn’t black, it just isn’t right.

Marelisa, it’s safe to say I have a mild case of OCD, somebody has to, right? I hate to see black coffee in a cup, so yes the milk has to go in first, at least. I could do the sugar last.
    :)

Yes, Vered, that’s the way I watch them do it at Dunkin Donuts, stuff in first, then liquid. I think it looks different if the milk doesn’t go in first, Weird.

Yep Michael, love my pens. I’ve used the Pilot Gel ink pens, I like them alot, I think I still have a few. I won’t drink black coffee. Yuk.

Mamaflo, I think everyone is weird, some more than others, but it’s okay to be weird, right? Sure!

Confused, it’s funny how we love our pens, but probably spend more time typing, at least I do, but when I write, it’s with a black pen for sure.

Interesting stuff! I had a high school friend who sucked her thumb at least into her 20s. I’ve also shaved my forearms & liked it, but to be honest, unless it’s a special occasion, I don’t shave anything anymore.
    Thanks for sharing!

Crazy stuff Lana. lol. I wonder who else sucked their thumb as an adult…calming I guess. Smooth forearms feel good. Special occasion? That’s a great reason.

I only get my nails done for special occasions.

I cant add or subtract even WITH a calculator…and I have been shaving my arms (including forearms) since I was 11 years old.

Boy, we had the same reaction to tagging and memes. I posted similar sentiments. Isn’t “meme” French or something for something?
