Does Size Matter?

One of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn’t belong.  This is what I found in my egg carton one morning when I was making breakfast.  Now the egg on the left is supposed to be an extra large egg.  What is the egg on the right supposed to be, an eggscapee from Barry Bond’s egg carton?  I’m afraid to cook it!  I have never seen anything like it.  It doesn’t even jiggle like there’s a yoke inside, I’m expecting something to hatch any day now.

This surely didn’t come from a hen. I’m so not eating it.

what did you end up doing with the Egg?

  4. 4Natural

    Hi Stacie,
It’s still in the refrigerator. My daughter said she will eat it.

It’s funny that you should talk about Barry Bonds and eggs because I mentioned the d*mn cheater in a post thge other day, plus I was watching a great show on Travel Channel called “Bizarre Foods” and the dude just had some cow eggs tonight and them babies weighed in at almost 2 1/2 pounds. So, I think that your extra large egg (while still strange) still has a ways to go!

I’m thinking long, lost dinosaur. If so, you could be rich. Then again, I could be wrong.

Actually, I’m going to boil it tomorrow morning and give it to my daugther. I’m too afraid to crack it open.

    Something…about…those…look…strangely…familiar?!

  14. 14Natural

LOL Olga, I won’t even ask!

The egg has been boiled and eaten (not by me of course). This city girl thinks an egg that size is freakish. Double yolk! (yuk)

I’ve thrown away eggs if they won’t crack right away. I’m convinced there’s a partial chicken inside there. That giant egg terrifies me. I’d have screamed and thrown it away immediately. WAS there a double yolk? Or do I even want to know?

JD, lol…I always crack my eggs in a bowl first and I inspect it for anything that might even look crazy. Yeah that egg was a whopper, I refuse to eat it. Yep, double yolked.

  18. 18JD

Brrr. Double-yolked. So freakish. Why, Nature, why?
