Horton Hears a Boo-Hoo

So what I cried at the end of this movie! I cry at the end of all kid movies, The Ant Bully, The Bee Movie, Meet the Robinsons, why should this one be any different? There’s always some kind of message at the end, especially in the animal movies, of the need to work together as a society. Kind of makes me look at mankind and wonder what’s the problem, even the animals are doing it.

Anywho, here’s the plot of the movie: Horton the elephant hears a cry for help coming from a speck of dust. Even though he can’t see anyone on the speck, he decides to help it. He struggles to protect a microscopic community from [being destroyed by] his neighbors who refuse to believe it exists. “After all, a person is a person, no matter how small.”

I never read this book or anything about the movie before going to see it, but when I heard the motto, I immediately knew what that message was…well okay first my focus was on the mayor for a little bit. He reminded me of Noah who warned the people during his time of destruction, but they laughed and refused to listen him. As you can see I was way off base, but when I heard the motto, my little light bulb came on. Is yours? I thought it was a great movie, go see it if you haven’t. Oh yeah, don’t forget to take a small child with you, they are great decoys for stuff you really want to see.

Hopefully, I can get to see Meet the Browns before it comes out on DVD and whatever happens then, “I must not let them see me cry.” Puss In Boots

You know, I wanted to see this as well. Haha, we never grab a kid and go see a kid movie, we just go. Sometimes we get looks, but who cares, right?

I want to see “Meet the Browns” as well… looks like a tear-jerker.

Today, we watched “The Gameplan” starring “The Rock”. It’s a Disney movie, but actually very funny and heartwarming. The Rock can ACT and he’s HOT. I wanna see him do more stuff!

I liked Horton Jillian, go see it and let me know what you think. I don’t even know what Meet the Browns is about, I just know Tyler is funny…I do hate his TV show. His movies are good though.

Corrina, I’m always the only one crying. I just take my Advil and keep it moving. :)

Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who is classic, i forgot how much that guy packed into such simple storylines… they didn’t add much to the original story either except for the usual Jim Carreyisms.
