Is Your Job Making You Fat?

ScaleHow many of you eat better at your job than you do at home? I don’t mean junk food either. There has been so much food and dessert at my job these last few weeks, I’m considering filing a class action suit against my current employer for my weight gain. Okay I’m kidding just in case they get wind of this post, but I used to weigh 140 lbs. I don’t any more. I’m 5′ 10″, so I know how to hide some weight, just put on higher heels and appear even taller, but truthfully, I can see the difference. I looked at some old photos of myself and some new photos and I don’t like my new double chin.

We are always surrounded by food left over from client meetings, staff meetings, dessert trays, home made goodies, fund raisers. It’s hard not to indulge, I can’t walk past a cookie! On Fridays we always get breakfast. I say they are feeding us well to fatten us up for the slaughter. The food is great, but at least take away our chair, make us stand. Don’t feed the cattle and then send us back to our desk to sit down! Give us an exercise ball to sit on. Move the copier out into the parking lot. Instead of fire drills, ring a bell so we can all run laps around the office. Buy us a pair of blinders to wear around the office so we can’t see the tray of food to the left, to the left.

How do you avoid office weight gain? Do you have any solutions? The Nancy Regan Diet: Just Say No? I already ran my idea past a few people and they seem to be willing to blame someone else for our extra weight gain…or maybe we could all just roll ourselves to the elevator and go to the gym downstairs.

Maybe I could just calm down and give the gym one more try before I call my lawyer.

when I cam off the road my weight returned to normal at first..I was 165 lbs. when I stopped long haul trucking.. it took a few moonths to get to 185 which being 6 foot + siuted me well..the problem was it didn’t stop there..at one point I was 210 until I realised #1 I can’t eat anything and everything anymore.. and #2 I needed some exercise to replace the activity I used to have…now I am back down to 185…

I’ll have to remember this Robert: I can’t eat anything and everything anymore.

I think I better get my butt back in the gym! I don’t mind the weight too much it’s just that I’m an ab woman and I can’t see mine, so I have to do something.

I just watched some video that was taken of me during our Christmas dinner. I am mortified. I have never been this heavy in my life. I want to cry. I may have to do something drastic like LA Weight Loss or Nutrisystem starting yesterday. Wow. It’s really bad. I have no advice. Clearly if I did, I wouldn’t be in this mess. Good luck and put down that muffin!

Pictures don’t lie, do they? I wish they would. I always say I’m going to stop eating junk just as soon as I finish this last piece of cheesecake or cookie.

When I returned to work yesterday, I was greeted with a box of donuts and a bag of donut holes. Why someone would bring food into work the day after Christmas is beyond me. I thanked the guy who brought them in, but I really wanted to say “See that trash can? Could ya just throw them in there? Thanks.” I ate a donut, the whole while asking myself if I stand a snowball’s chance of losing weight this year.

LOL Kathy. I actually went to the gym this morning, 7:30, butt on the treadmill and yes, i turned it on too. I wasn’t just sitting on it this time. I get upstairs and there’s chocolate cookies right next to my desk. I said this is a test and I said, No! I won’t have them, but I will watch others eat them.
