Pilot - Have Cap Will Travel
Okay, so I’m reading this book by one of my favorite authors and one of the characters is a pilot. He got called to do a job as a fill in and was grabbing some belongings for his flight. I don’t know why this stuck out in my mind, but when I read he grabbed his cap, I’m like, for what? Is the sun really going to be in his eyes up there. Shouldn’t he be taking some
binoculars or something so he can see where’s he’s going. He only need to see miles ahead of him in the sky. He doesn’t need a cap. Okay, so why do pilots wear caps? Is it to complete the uniform? I don’t know, I’m leaning toward seeing a pair of binoculars hanging around the neck of every pilot.

What’s the problem. Just because you don’t wear “hats” - unless yo hair is a mess..
I think its part of the uniform too. I think they hang up their caps when they are
in the “pilot’s seat” LOL -
