The Results Are In!
Last month I asked readers to Please Help Me Choose a B-logo for my blog and the results are in, B-logo No. 3 is the winner (with some minor changes)! I had intended on posting the results and the new B-logo on March 1, but before last night, I had no idea on how to do it. So I sat down with the intention of just tinkering with it to see if I could get it to work and voila! I was going to wait until the weekend to upload it, but sometimes my brain is like a toilet, once I go to sleep, everything gets flushed and I don’t remember uh…..nothing.
A day or two ago I sent an email to my friend Jorge asking him if he knew how to change the header in Word Press and said he did not, but gave me a brilliant suggestion (a 3 step process) that worked like a charm and after he said it, I had a V-8 and a duh moment at the same time. I tested it out on a sample blog first and it worked! Thanks Jorge!
Now why did I choose the Thinking Man as my B-logo? Well first I wanted a talking brain, but after looking at several pictures of brains, I was grossed out. So I wanted something that reflected thinking or thoughts and who else is better for the job than this guy, that’s all he does! Symbolically speaking, this blog is an expression of his inner thoughts. Haven’t you ever wondered what he’s thinking about? Well here it is!
Am I crazy? Does this make sense to only me? A commentator responded by saying: The image of Rodin’s thinker is a bit contrary to the theme and that the other b-logo’s weren’t really memorable. In my opinion, the blog speaks for the image and on his inability to express his thoughts out loud. It might be remembered for the very reasons you don’t understand it. No?
Oh well, hope you like. I’ll make it clickable later. Thanks everyone!

My name is Valerie aka Natural and I will be writing about whatever is on my mind. I love teaching, dialogue, sharing and making people laugh. I never know what I'll share here but this is me, Thinking Out Loud.

I kinda like the juxtaposition of the “quiet” Thinking Man alongside the title of the blog: “Thinking Out Loud.”
It works for me.
Jillian’s last blog post..Jillian and the Inescapable Lies… Lies!
Looks good. Glad it worked.
Jillian, that’s the word I was looking for…glad you like.
Jorge, thanks for your suggestion, it made sense. You probably saved me from pulling out what’s left of my hair.
in your style.css, in the “/* header area */”
Find this:
#header {
background: #0C72A2 url(images/head-bg.gif) no-repeat !important;
height: 110px;
border-top: 5px solid #222D2D;
position: relative;
color: #D16683;
}
and change the “background: #” from “0c72a2″ to “006699″.
That should get your background colors to match.
(also, I’m not sure if the comments allow special characters, so the code I posted above might be all messed up. I so, sorry.
jorge
